Mijo Crochet

Jag har ju varit en smula hemlighetsfull den senaste tiden och tänkte nu berätta vad det är jag gått och ruvat på 🙂
Det är så att jag har bestämt mig för att starta ett eget företag inom virkdesign! Tanken är att jag ska arbeta heltid med detta för att kunna utveckla mitt mönsterskrivande och designarbete så mycket som möjligt och följden kommer bli fler och bättre mönster från Mijo Crochet i framtiden. För att jag ska kunna arbeta med detta måste jag såklart ta betalt för mina mönster även om det kommer slinka in lite gratismönster emellanåt också. Mönsterna kommer kosta ca 50 kr styck, vilket ungefär motsvarar en fika på stan 😉

Jag hoppas att att alla ni som tycker om mina mönster vill följa med mig på denna spännande resa!

As you know, I have been a little secretive lately and now I will tell you what it’s all about 🙂
I have decided to go all in with crochet design and today my own business starts! I will now work 100% with crochet design which makes it possible for me to improve my design and writing skills as much as I can. This means that there will be more and better patterns from Mijo Crochet in the future. To be able to work with crochet design I have to charge my patterns, even if a few freebies will be made too. My patterns will cost approximately 5 € or 6 USD, which is about what a “Swedish fika” costs. A “Swedish fika” is a cup of coffee with something sweet to eat.

I really hope that all of you that likes my patterns will follow me on this exciting journey!

Below I have gathered some pictures and releasing dates for my next four upcoming designs. Two of them will be released next week already!

Kommande mönster / Upcoming patterns 
Tranguility + Treasure Net:

Idag bjuder jag på lite bilder av de mönster som kommer i vår och som alltid när jag släpper mönster, kommer ett blogginlägg med flertalet garnförslag och färgguider när mönstret finns att tillgå.

Först ut nästa vecka är två sjalmönster, Tranquility och Treasure Net. I helgen kommer jag också ha en tävling på Instagram och Facebook (@mijocrochet) där man kan vinna sitt favoritmönster av dessa två, så håll utkik.

Today I will show you some pictures of my upcoming patterns this spring, and as always when I release a pattern I will write a blog post with several yarn suggestions and colour guides.

First out next week are these two shawl patterns, Tranquility and Treasure Net. This weekend I will also have a Giwe Away on Instagram and Facebook (@mijocrochet) where you can win your favorite pattern of these two, so keep your eyes open.

Lost in Time:

I mars kommer mönstret till Lost in Time-filten och Lost in Time-rutan att släppas. Mönstret testvirkas just nu och så fort det är klart släpps mönstret.

The Lost in Time blanket pattern and Lost in Time square pattern will be released in march. The blanket is being tested at the moment, and as soon as the testers are done, the pattern will be available.

Tropitile CAL:

Senare i vår kommer Tropitile CAL att starta. Än så länge är mönstret hemligt, men innan CALen drar igång kommer du får se vad det är vi ska virka tillsammans. Precis som vid In Bloom CAL kommer det finnas support via Facebook via gruppen Mijo Crochet Hangout.

Later this spring the Tropitile CAL will start. For now the pattern is a secret, but before the CAL starts you will know what we will crochet together. As with the In Bloom CAL there will be support on Facebook through my group Mijo Crochet Hangout.

      1. I want to make sure my stitch count is correct when making more repeats. Is there a math formula? Maybe then I can understand better.

      2. Hi, all rows with single crochets increases with 2 stitches / side and all rows with double crochets increases with 4 stitches / side. I hope this helps 🙂

  7. Jag var helt säckert på att du redan hade dit förretag och tjänna pengar på det. Så bra är du. Klart att jag (och alla andra tycker jag) kan betal .lite för ett mönster. Det ligger ju en helt del arbet i detta.

  21. I am so excited for you, and your new business. I have 2 versions of your Lost In Time shawl going right now. I am a 59 year old retired nurse, and have enjoyed crocheting during my retirement. I learned basic crochet back when I was about 10 years old. Your patterns are beautiful, inovative, and easy to follow….

  22. Have a question, I have been reading in various post that the pattern for the “Lost In Time” shawl is free, but I cannot find it anywhere. Read earlier in this blog that it has been out for quite some time. It is beautiful and I would love to make it for my Mother-in-Law for her birthday, Can you tell me where I can get this pattern?

  28. Your designs are works of art, truly inspired. I’m not so good at reading patterns so I find the pictures helpful, while getting better at reading them. Recently made the Dragon belly shawl using a whirl..it turned out beautiful, I get compliments on it every time I wear it.
    Thanks for sharing and the hard work you put into them..looking for my next pattern now 😊👸

  32. I wish you much good fortune on your new exciting path! I too am a nurse still working. I’ve crocheted since I was 8 and I’m almost 47.
    It is all too rare that I find such beautiful detailed patterns such as yours. Your designs are simple to follow yet give much inticrate detail.
    You know how to bring out the beauty in our art form and I very much look forward to seeing what doing this full time will produce if this is what you have accomplished in your spare time!
    Someday I hope soon, I too will create my own beautiful patterns.
    I would love to see some more ponchos or sweaters from you! Hint hint…
