Blocka din sjal / Block your shawl:

I recommend to block your crocheted shawls to increase the stitch definition, get a better shape and a more beautiful drape. If you like to read about blocking there is information about it here.

  1. I am working on the last row (57) using the English translation and am having a hard following them…has anyone else reported a problem using the English translation? In particular, why do you only make the B-picot in some of the chain 3 spaces on either side of the chain 5 space and not others?

    1. Hi Deanne! I havent heard of any problems using the English translation. I took an extra look at the pattern and i cant see any errors there.
The B-picots are made between the ch-3 sp and ch-5 sp plus one in the ch-5 sp. In the ch-3 sp you only make sc.
It might help you to zoom in the picture of the border in the blogpost (https://mijocrochet.se/2018/02/22/tranquility/) or in the pattern if you are using it on a screen.
I hope this helps, otherwise, please email me at mijo.crochet@gmail.com and I will help you 🙂

  2. Thank You for the offer of help. After a day of picking the shawl up and trying this and that and putting it back down only to pick it up and try again later, I finally figured it out! I was making it too complicated. I’m thrilled to be finishing this very soon.
