Äntligen dags att släppa mönstret till sjalen “Lost in Time”.
Finally time to release the “Lost in Time” shawl pattern. The name came to me becouse of the vintage feeling it has and also that the time flies by working on this shawl 🙂 This pattern is a repetition of 12 rows which means you can use any yarn or hook and customizing your shawls size by the number of repetitions.

Hi! I’ve been waiting to do this for a long time! Absolutely beautiful, however I’m stuck with row 13, the stitch when I do it as a fp dc makes the previous stitch look just longer, it looks in the picture below, that it was done in third loop?! And when I do the next row, the popcorn end up in the back of the shawl?

Im not sure what the problem is, but in row 13 you make fpdc’s and the picture in the pattern shows how it will look on the right side of the shawl. Row 13 is crocheted from the back side 🙂

Hello, love this pattern “lost in time” thank you for sharing it. I just received my yarn today and started working on it. When I get to row10 the popcorns are on the wrong side of the shawl but I noticed on your diagram pictures that there is a sc row between row9 and row10 in a light greenish color in the photos on pg6 above row12 in the English pdf version of your pattern. Am I seeing this correctly? Would you be so kind as to explain my next step after row 9 to get my popcorns on the right side of the pattern. Your generosity in sharing your beautifully created pattern is so greatly appreciated by me. I came of age in the “70’s” and this pattern literally had me “lost in time” in my thoughts of those years.
Thank You
Marsha

Hi,
Yes, the picture is taken at the next repetition so there should not be an extra sc row after row 9. The popcorns should pop out at the side facing you when making row 10.
Im very glad you like my pattern. I hope this helps, othetwise just write again 🙂

Hej!

Oh and the diagram I respond with earlier there is a diagram 1, 2, 3 and 4 . Then you have the complete lost in time in diagram. It’s in Dutch. ‘Toeren’ means rows. Is this aloud that I put it here? It’s not my diagram. But I saw some people asking for it.

I ask only because I have received so many compliments on it and I’m being asked if I’m going to be selling them in my ETSY shop. (Of course, this will only happen with your permission.) I made this shawl using a Lion Brand Ombre Life at it came out absolutely beautiful! I found the pattern fairly easy to follow (after making sure I read the instructions a few times – but that’s just ME 😉 ). But I was really intrigued by the intricate details of the stitches in the photos so I purchased the Scheepjes Catona in the colorways outlined in the multi-color guide. However, I AM noticing ‘discrepancies’ between the colors depicted in the photos for a given row (in the English version) and the colors as indicated in the color guide. I’m HOPING that this is just a matter of the pictures being more of an illustration of how the pattern should ‘look’ for any given row and not an exact representation of the color for that row. For example, the illustration for Row 6 depicts a row of ‘amber’ colored double crochets upon what appears to be either a ‘blue’ (or possibly green) colored row of single crochets from row 5. ExCEPT that the color guide lists row 5 as 179 – Topaz and row 6 as 383 – Ginger Gold. I just want to make sure I am following the color guide correctly. Thank you VERY much for SUCH a beautiful design!!

Hello again, Johanna. Emailed earlier question on number of stitches for rows past row 26. Unfortunately (for me) I do not belong to Facebook and I do not want to join Facebook. I have attempted to work out the increases on the rows from 15 to 26 as follows – 20 increases each row for rows 15 to 21 (for instance, Row 15 would be 27 ch -1 groups; Row 27 – 47 ch-1 groups; Row 39 – 67 ch -1 groups). For rows 22 and 23 – increase of 10. For row 24 – increase of 5 groups of 8 for each repeat. For row 25 – increase of 40 dc for each repeat. For row 26 – increase of 5 popcorns for each repeat. Have I worked this out correctly? This is such a beautiful shawl that I would like to do it properly. Thank you for your time and assistance.
