The XY Beanie is a soft, warm and good-looking beanie that keeps your head and ears toasty during the cold season. The blend of alpaca, wool and polyamide keeps you warm even if it the beanie gets wet, and the stretchy fabric makes this beanie very comfortable to wear. This unisex beanie is very stretchy and the regular size fits almost everyone. The lenght of the beanie is generous so that you can fold a nice big brim that gives you extra warmth and still have some room left at the top. Fold the brim once for a slouchy fit or fold a double brim for a snug fit with extra warmth.

This pattern comes in two sizes, Regular and Small.
Regular: A go-to size that fits almost everyone. If you like a more snug fit you can use the same number of chains as the small size at the start, and then follow the directions for the regular size.
Small: For petite woman and kids from approx. 6 years old.
The pattern also have tips and notes if you like to customize your beanie even more.

The XY Beanie is crocheted in rows back and forth. The lenght of the rows vary to give the beanie a smooth rounded top without excess frabric.

Yarn:

This pattern is crocheted with two strands of Drops Sky.
Small: 2 x 50g DROPS Sky (74% Alpaca, 18% Polyamide, 8% Wool, 50g/190m).
Regular: 3 x 50g DROPS Sky (74% Alpaca, 18% Polyamide, 8% Wool, 50g/190m).
I used color 10 for the Small, and color 07 for the Regular size.
Or you can use any wool or acrylic yarn you like that is suitable for hook 5.0mm.

Hook: 5.0mm.
