The Macaw Wing shawl has the shape of an asymmetric elongated triangel. You crochet
this shawl from one side to the other starting at the slim end. The post stitches in this
pattern gives you a lovely texture that will show even better if you block your work when finished. Blocking will also enhance the stitch definition and drape. You can find a simple blocking here. This shawl can be made in any size which is described in the pattern. You can find yarn suggestions and more photos further down on this page.
Pattern features:
- Written pattern in Swedish, English US terms, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Slovak and Spanish.
- Crochet chart.
- Photo tutorials to show the neccesary steps of the pattern.
Hook: 3.5mm
Yarn: Scheepjes Whirl, color 787 Dandelion Munchies.
Stitches used in this pattern (US terms): Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet *, back post treble * and front post treble *.

This is an example how this design looks made with hook 3,5 mm and the yarn Scheepjes Our Tribe color 962 Marie. I estimate that you would need three skeins of the Our Tribe yarn to make this shawl.
