The XY Duo Slim Scarf is an elongated long scarf that is crocheted in rows from one side to the other. The long and slim shape makes this scarf easy to wrap around your neck withouth being bulky.
The ridged stretchy fabric is created by crocheting in the back loops and the pattern teach you how to change color every other row without cutting the yarn.

You can easily adjust the size of the scarf by decreasing or increasing the number of repetitions of the main pattern. You can also use this pattern if you want a petit scarf that just goes one time around the neck by crocheting fewer repetitions.

The XY Duo Slim Scarf is the newest addition to the XY pattern family. My other XY patterns are XY Beanie, XY Duo Shawl, XY wrist warmers and XY Scarf. They all match eachother and the Duo versions use two colors for a gradient stripe effect.

Stitches used in this pattern (US terms): Chain, single crochet, 2 single crochet together, single crochet in back loop only.

Yarn & Size:

I made two XY Duo Slim Scarfs, one in Scheepjes Whirl for the warmer seasons and one in Scheepjes Unity for the cooler seasons. The scarf in the two pictures to the left is made with Scheepjes Whirl and the scarf in the two pictures to the right is made with Scheepjes Unity.

1 x Scheepjes Whirl (60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic, 215g = 1000m), color 557 Coral Catastrophe.
A total of 150g of yarn was used for the scarf. I removed the first and last solid color from the cake before starting the scarf (optional).

Or,

1 x Scheepjes Unity (70% Superwash Merino Wool, 30% Polyamide, 100g = 420m), color 971 Jellina Creations.
1 x Scheepjes Unity (70% Superwash Merino Wool, 30% Polyamide, 100g = 420m), color 963 Haak Maar Raak.
A total of 150g of yarn was used for the scarf.
