The Hug You Shawl is big, fluffy and warm just like a hug should be. The Hug You Shawl is my first own design in tunisian crochet and is perfect for those who are beginners in this technique or someone who wants relaxing crochet in front of the fire place or TV.
Yarn:
I have used the yarn Scheepjes Whirligig (20% alpaca, 80% virgin wool; 450 g / 1000 m) in the color 203 Teal to Yellow. The wool yarn gives a fluffy result and is more forgiving in terms of keeping the stitches even than, for example, a cotton yarn, which makes it easier when trying a new technique. Since tunisian crochet always requires a larger size of crochet hook than regular crochet, I have used a tunisian crochet hook 7.0 mm with a 60 cm cord for this shawl.
You can buy the yarn, a tunisian crochet hook and a cable that are used for this pattern via my Amazon US Storefront *.

I highly recommend the site KnitterKnotter.com which is run by Arunima Goel. She has video tutorials and descriptions of a lot of tunisian stitches and techniques including the ones I used in my Hug You shawl. A treasure chest for those who want to learn or refresh their tunisian crochet skills.

Hi, Im sorry you feel that way. In the blogpost where you download the pattern I have linked to a site where all tunisian stitches are explained with videos. A tunisian pattern are as a regular crochet pattern. Not every stitch is explained in the pattern, that knowledge is requared in forehand.
Kind regards,
Johanna
