The High Noon Shawl is my version of the classic shawl with lace and flowers. I used the very soft and warm merino wool yarn Scheepjes Unity, which comes in both solid and variegated colors. I used the color 963 Haak Maar Raak to make my flowers, and the variegated yarn made all the flowers a little different. As main color (background) I used the vivid blue color 883 Rineke, and for the flower centers I used the soft green color 879 Kristina.
The shawl is made of 28 flower hexagons and 6 half hexagons. First you crochet the flower hexagons that you join as you go when crocheting the last row (described in the pattern). Then you crochet the half hexagons and join them as you go in the same way. No sewing!
