Lovely Leaves Blanket

English below ↓

Filten Lovely Leaves

Blocka din filt / Block your blanket:

Jag rekommenderar att blocka dina virkade filtar för att framhäva maskdefinitionen och få en snyggare form. Information om hur man blockar finns här.

I recommend to block your crocheted blankets to increase the stitch definition and get a better shape. Information about blocking is available here.

  2. As Soon as I saw this beautiful pattern I thought it would make a magnificent rug in thicker yarn.
    Maybe double stranded Chunky Monkey?

    1. Im so glad you like my pattern 🙂
I have never used the yarn Chunky Monekey so Im not the right person to give advoce about it. If its 100% acrylic it may be slippery on the floor and/or to soft?
Myself I have used cotton yarn for rugs and I think this pattern can serve well as a rug!
      I hope this helps,

  5. Johanna, I purchased your great pattern. I discovered an error on page 7, Row 7. Starts out okay, then incorrect info inserted. After the initial ss and ch2, {1dc, ch2, 1dc} into the same
ch-2 sp, 1dc in next 3 dc, it should read:
“2 dc in ch-4 sp, ch1, 2 dc in next ch-4 sp, 1dc, ch2, 1dc in ch-2 sp”. The photo of your work was most helpful in figuring that out.
    Again, great pattern.

      1. Johanna, I’m totally happy with the 2 dc in the actual ch-stitches. Please actually look at the pattern that is offered for sale. The instructions are NOT for this portion of the pattern – haven’t found them to be pertinent to any portion yet. The same error is repeated on page 9, row 12. The same verbiage as what’s written on page 7 has been inserted. Seems to just be a copy-editing error. As I stated, the photos are clear and I was able to move on; just thought you’d like to correct it.

The issue is with comes AFTER the ss and 2 dc in same stitch part.

        Ss in next ch-2 sp, ch2, {1dc, ch2, 1dc} into the same
        ch-2 sp, 1dc in next 3 dc,
        1dc in next 2 ch, ch1, skip (2 ch, 1 sc, 2 ch), 1dc in next 2 ch, 1dc in next 3 dc,

        Should say: 2 dc in ch-4 sp, ch1, 2 dc in next ch-4 sp, 1dc, ch2, 1dc in ch-2 sp

        ({1dc, ch2, 1dc} in next ch-2 sp, 1dc in next 3 dc,
        1dc in next 2 ch, ch1, skip (2 ch, 1 sc, 2 ch), 1dc in next 2 ch, 1dc in next 3 dc) 5 times.

        Should say: 2 dc in ch-4 sp, ch1, 2 dc in next ch-4 sp, 1dc, ch2, 1dc in ch-2 sp

ss to first dc at the beg of the row.

      2. Sharon, as I wrote in my earlier message the pattern is correct, both in row 7 and row 12.

“1dc in next 2 ch, ch1, skip (2 ch, 1 sc, 2 ch), 1dc in next 2 ch,” is correct.

You crochet 1 dc in each of the 2 first chains of the ch4, then you skip 2ch, 1sc and 2ch, then you crochet 1dc in each of the 2 last chains of that ch4.

        It should NOT say: “2 dc in ch-4 sp, ch1, 2 dc in next ch-4 sp, 1dc, ch2, 1dc in ch-2 sp”

If you look closely to the picture in the pattern you can see that I made the dc’s into the chain stitches and not around the ch-4 sp.

        Kind regards,

        Johanna

      3. Johanna, your explanation is workable…….just confusing. I’m not a designer and couldn’t do what you do. If I encounter another portion that is confusing to my simple mind, I’ll attempt to figure it out.

Thank you again for the pattern.

  6. Johanna: I love this pattern it’s beautiful! Is the yarn soft enough to use as a baby blanket, or would you suggest something different?
    Thank you for your assistance!

    1. Hi and thank you!
The Scheepjes Whirl yarn suits very well for baby blankets as it is soft and can be machine washed in 40 degrees 🙂
      Kind regards,
      Johanna
