Äntligen dags att släppa mönstret till sjalen “Lost in Time”.
Finally time to release the “Lost in Time” shawl pattern. The name came to me becouse of the vintage feeling it has and also that the time flies by working on this shawl 🙂 This pattern is a repetition of 12 rows which means you can use any yarn or hook and customizing your shawls size by the number of repetitions.

Hi there. To start things off on a good note, I think your patterns are nothing shirt of beautiful. You do amazing work and are very talented. That being said, I was unable to gain access to either of the two patterns I wished to try out today (primarily your Lost in Time pattern). Any attempts to visit your blog via the links you provided also proved to be fruitless, as most links on this page were unable to be used to get to the content I was hoping to view. Furthermore, even your drop down mobile menu appears to not be working correctly, as I am unable to even get it to open up so that I can navigate to other lRts of.your page. Im very disappointed. I searched for hours for patterns and works by crafters I genuinely loved and found beautiful, and was very excited to experiment with some of your patterns. I will check back some other time in hopes that these issues get resolved. I hope you are well. Keep creating!

Hi and thank you for your kind words 🙂
I have not heard from anyone else that they cant download my patterns. Maybe you can try another browser? Do you have some kind of pop up window protection installed?
I have tested the links from both a phone and a computer today and both works fine for me.

I came across this pattern today and tried to access it via the Free Access link on Ravelry.
I find no link on your Blog to the pattern which is very frustrating. So I am at least a 2nd person who is letting you know of this problem. If you hear from a couple of people about a problem it is safe to assume many others are just not letting you know they also have it.
Can you please send the actual URL link to the pattern so I may access it. It is a wonderful design. Thank You.

Hi,
As you can see below the person britgirl58 downloaded the pattern the next day via her PC and the link worked fine.
I can also see in my statistics that more than 100 persons downloaded the Lost in Time pattern yesterday. Sometimes your web browser don’t allow pop up windows and that might be your problem. Please try to download the pattern again with another browser or device.

Hi. I love this pattern. It’s beautiful and easy to follow. The only problem I have is the color guide. It only goes to row 50 and the shawl has 110 rows. Do I repeat colors just the same as the first 15 thru 26.
Also, according to the color guide, the violet (282) is only used in the border. Yet the pictures show violet used in the shawl. Do I only use 282 in the border?
Thanks
K

Hi and thank you 🙂
The color guide only goes to row 59 since that was how many rows I made when making my Lost in Time shawl. I only used the 282 violet in the border and another violet in the rows before.
How you chose to use the colors after 50 rows is a matter of taste, many peope repeat the colors from previous repetitions.
Kind regards,
Johanna

I started crocheting in December and could only follow videos on youtube. Yours is the first time I tried reading a pattern – and my shawl is turning out beautiful. Thank you so much for your generosity and time. I love how at the end of each row you tell us how many of each kinds of stitched there are instead of just the number of stitches – so very helpful! Thank you again so much.

Hi Johanna, I absolutely love this pattern and the color choice of the Scheepjes Catona. I live in South Florida and don’t have much need for a shawl, but if I make two shawls and join them will that work to turn it into a throw/afghan? Thank you again for the lovely pattern!

Hi April and thank you so much!
You can sew two shawls together to make a square, but that will give you a seem straight through the throw. Another suggestion is to make the Squared Lost in Time which I designed. It is a square that you can make in any size you like and it has the same stitches as the Lost in Time Shawl. In addition it also has a popcorn flower center 🙂

Hi, i would like to report what i think is a little mistake in the Italian pattern. Row 17 in the english version says: Ch 1, {2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc} in next ch-2 space. However in the Italian version it has been translated as: “1 cat, 1 ma + 2 cat +1 ma nello spazio di 2 cat” so you have 1 less dc for each side. Regards, Daniela

Hej Johanna
First of all thank you a lot for this beautiful pattern. I am enjoying sooo much working on it (maybe except the dealing with the threads ending after every row) Am doing your original color version and really think the result will be worth it at the end. I have a technical question: in row 25 we are starting with ch3 and 2dc and ending with 3dc. Then in row 26 it is ch3 and 2dc in first dc, then 1bpdc in next 3 dc. Shouldnt it be 1bpdc in next 2dc? Out of 3 dc from the last row I have already “used” one for 3dc and am left with only 2 more. And the similar situation is at the end of the row 26 where I should do 1bpdc in 3dc and then 3dc in the chain, but have only 2dc from row 25 before the chain. I hope you can follow 🙂
LikeLike
Hi, in row 25 there is a fpdc to make before the first shell, maybe you missed that one? It is a common mistake.
